Roasted Chicken

This is the outcome of the chicken that hubby roasted in his improvised oven which I featured in my other food blog. The meat came out tender and juicy.. much much better than the ones we order for delivery.

1 whole chicken approx. 1 –  1.2 kilo

Marinated for at least two hours in:

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup calamansi juice (or lemon if not available)
  • 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp ground pepper (powder)
  •  1 tbsp sugar and a pinch of phosphate powder (use for ham curing).

Roast in an oven or turbo broiler for one hour or until meat is tender.  In this case from hubby’s oven.

Note: pin the wings to body with toothpick to avoid burning as it was the first to get burned easily.
